Abby Blacklock, MA, NCC

mood disorders

Abby Blacklock is a Nationally Certified Counselor and received her graduate degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary. She believes that counseling is a process of self-discovery and growth.  Life can be difficult at times, and a caring therapist who listens and understands can be very helpful when facing the challenges life throws our way.

Abby loves working with couples, adolescents, and women. Abby has experience working with a variety of issues including relationship issues, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, unplanned pregnacy and parenting, and boundary difficulties.  Abby loves teenagers and she wants to see them get the help they need to thrive and develop into healthy adults.  Abby also enjoys helping couples work through their conflicts and uses her certificate training in PREP/ENRICH relationship assessment program to assist clients in identifying areas of strenth and weaknesses.

Abby uses a variety of techniques, focusing on the more creative means of self-expression (collaging, journaling, painting, drawing, guided imagery, relaxation therapy, etc.). Her goal is to pair specific techniques with a client’s needs, empowering them to find hope, meaning, and purpose in life.
