"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer" - Romans 12:9-12
Sex is a gift from God to be enjoyed by a husband and wife within a lifelong, monogamous covenant (not a mere contract between consenting adults) called marriage. Marital sex is good, for it honors God, cultivates physical and emotional intimacy, strengthens the marriage and provides immense physical pleasure, and right, for it expresses obedience to God's commands.
It is estimated that at least 40 - 60% of all couples struggle with a sexual problem at some time in the course of their relationship. Sex and relationship problems often go hand and hand. In most cases, sexual and relationship functioning can be improved with proper diagnosis and treatment.
There is much shame and guilt surrounding sexual issues among Christians and many people suffer in silence having no where to turn and one to talk to. This has created a serious void in Christianity regarding sexuality. Christians who are struggling sexually and hungry for answers and healing have few places to turn. There is hope!

It is based on the assumptions that sex is good, that relationships should be meaningful, and that interpersonal intimacy is a desirable goal. Sex therapy is by its nature a very sensitive treatment modality and by necessity must include respect for the client's values.
