Kim Jones has extensive experience working with couples, marriage and family issues. She also works with individual issues including depression, grief and loss, anxiety and life transitions. Kim facilitates the women's depression counseling group at Front Range Counseling Center. Kim also plans and implemented workshops pertaining to parents and family life skills training.
Kim's counseling approach is based on exploring family of origin issues, cognitive behavioral strategies, scriptural truths, solution-focused and the use of humor and metaphor. She believes that a flexible theoretical framework and using a wide repertoire of skills allows her to partner with and empower clients in their journeys of discovery and growth.
Kim has her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Colorado University and is a Licensed Professional counselor in the state of Colorado. She has worked for over 8 years in a variety of counseling settings. She has worked with children, adolescents, and families in residential treatment facilities. She understands how stress affects relationships and other areas in life. Kim also has training and a certificate in Life Coach Training and utilizes these skills in counseling.
Kim has been married for 19 years and has two children.
